Disney wants to use facial recognition in Disneyland.

Another giant company wanting to store and analyse biometric information? No thanks.

Apparently they already require fingerprints? Wow.

@josias another solution, albeit radical and dangerous, would be not supporting Disney/ABC by not buying their crap, going to their parks, or streaming their content.

@jeremiah I totally agree. But whatever effort we can use to reduce the potential hazards is worthwhile. This effort is likely to have more support than a full-on boycott.

Idealistically, I agree with you. I generally avoid Disney. Pragmatically, I believe this is also useful.

@jrmyj Apparently it's to make sure you don't resell your ticket...

@josias The sad part is, most people won't care. People who love Disney love Disney no matter what.

@ChiaChatter @josias that's most things in general. Google is spyware, yet somehow still is the default search engine for 92% of queries. People who work for Google should be ashamed of themselves.

@josias well I guess that prevents me from having to try and save up to take our kids there 😁
