@stef20 just like any other OS, Linux itself requires you to reboot from time to time, specially if it has installed bunch of packages.

So born to reboot is not just for Windows.

@doneljan In the past I worked on Window$ servers we need reboot each week for not crash it and all my GNU-Linux server need reboot it only for new packages or update.

@stef20 not sure why you need to reboot your Windows servers each week. I’ve managed Windows servers NT, 2000, and 2008, all of em are pretty stable. 2012 and 2016 are damn good too.

Instead of rebooting you should’ve just find the cause in the logs.

Don’t get me wrong though, i love Linux servers too. We got plenty of them, its a mixed of Centos and Ubuntu.

@doneljan And the performance are very bad for a files server because too much request (Several thousand files) and my old GNU-Linux with very less good hardware perform very much more with a Samba on Redhat Linux.
