What would it take to get more normal people on the fediverse 
@rose_myrtle I don't know. When I mention it, a lot of folks look at me like I told them they can climb Everest. The barrier to entry is the same or less then other social media.
My best suggestions:
Tell them they can bring their friends.
Rename it.
Tell them it's where all the intelligent people are.
Tell them there be dragons where they are now.
You ask a good question that deserves some thought.
