Random babble session:
So I've been looking around at different note taking and brainstorming/idea organization applications. There are a lot out there - many are really good (there are several terrible out there as well), however if you want to collaborate with others most of them require a log in, which is fine, but if you're trying to work with people that grown every time you mention the idea of having to memorize another password, it makes proposing a collaborative note and idea application incredibly difficult. Not to mention if a few of the folks you work with simply just don't want to learn anything new involving a computer or cell phone.
I won't go into a review on the many apps and programs I've tried, but just yesterday I saw @zudn talking about tiddlywiki. I thought, I've never heard of that...a quick duck duck go (there's got to be a shorter verb for that specific kind of search right?) revealed "...a note-taking web application you can download for free, store wherever you like and customize however you wish. Use it to capture, organize and share your notes in ways that word processors and other note-taking tools cannot." This may be the kind of thing I'm looking for! And it may be something I can set up on it's own public URL for use with some folks at my work. I can think of some really neat ways to organize some ideas/info for personal and family use as well.
One cool example I saw today was someone who organized a study on the book of Obadiah. In my daily scripture reading, I've been reading through the books of the prophets. I haven't made it to Obadiah yet, but I often supplement my reading with commentary here and there - perhaps I will be able to supplement my reading of Obadiah with this as well. https://giffmex.org/experiments/obadiah.html#Table%20of%20contents In any case, thinks to @zudn for inadvertently acquainting me with tiddlywiki. I think I'll be exploring this software more in the near future.
So ever since I joined mastodon, little by little I've been trying to understand this fediverse social world better. I've heard a lot of talk lately about pleroma (I also read a little about it before joining mastodon). But I'm still trying to rap my brain around it. Is pleroma just a series of mastodon (and gnu social) domains with a different flavor / set of features?...Maybe in the same vain as a Linux distro?
Over the years I often find myself returning to this verse, when in times of trouble. It's a wonderful reminder that God does hear us. And we can think on our own testimony, the testimonies of others, and His faithfulness throughout history. He's never failed us and nothing takes Him by surprise. He's with us on our highest mountain top and our lowest valley.
I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me.
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.
When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints.
You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
I consider the days of old, the years long ago.
Isaid, "Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart."
Then my spirit made a diligent search:
"Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable?
Has his steadfast love forever ceased?
Are his promises at an end for all time?
Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has he in anger shut up his compassion?"
Then I said,
"I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High."
I will remember the deeds of the Lord ; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.
I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.
Psalm 77:1-15 ESV
@josias Well I downloaded it from the Google app store, but I also kinda assumed there would be a GitHub as well. ...I couldn't find one either. It's being developed by a group called Mixi Interactive - which I do not know much about.
