An interesting study just out in Australia:
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/on-the-inside/515266/what-kind-of-diner-are-you-6-types-of-diners-who-avoid-plant-based-meat-dishes
I think I'm closest to a Type 4. I prefer to eat vegetables that are honest about their identity, and not heavily processed into masquerading as meat.
That said, when I go out for dinner it's a special occasion, and I'm more likely to order something with meat.
I don't know why the study focusses on restaurant meals instead of the more common home meals. At home I eat meatless dinners about 3/4 of the time (and always meatless breakfast & supper).
What type are you?

@DMakarios Definitely Type 6.
@DMakarios Yeah i'm with you I think - I don't mind half a cauliflower spiced up to taste like a roast, but not a fan of meatless sausages and steaks. I've tried them, they're edible, but i'd rather eat real food not ersatz.
Although as an Aussie, in a country where (edible!) roos hit plague proportions every so often - and cows are normally free range because half the country is grazing land with or without cows - I don't even really understand why they're so desperate to turn everyone vegan...
@rose_myrtle Good meat in a roo tail. Lean, boneless...
@DMakarios Interesting! I’m ’none of the above’. I haven’t eaten meat for 20 years and things that are pretending to be meat don’t appeal to me at all
@DMakarios Type 2 myself, but I think you’re on the most reasonable track for most people. I’ve avoided meat and dairy completely this year and I don’t really miss them. I’m really against the factory farm practices for many reasons, but I think virus mutation and antibiotic resistant bacteria are huge threats to mankind. Almost feels like Devine punishment. Surgery just might stop being practical one day if we don’t knock it off.
@daniel I suspect a lot of what we feel is divine punishment is just God letting humans suffer the consequences of our actions.
